Global Warming

Global Warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since mid 20th century, and is projected to continue at an exponential rate! This increase in the globally average temperatures is very likely due to the observed increase in the anthropogenic (man-made) green house gas concentrations via greenhourse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect on this increase.

Increase in the average global air temperature near Earth's surfaced = 0.74+/-0.18 degree celcius OR 1.33+/- 0.32 degree Fahrenhite (till 2005)

Average increase in temperature in 21st century= 1.1 60 6.4 degree celcius (2.0 to 11.5 degree Fahrenhite)

The following graph shows gas emissions from various sources as on 19th June 2006.
